EDI 944

The EDI 944 transaction set is an electronic version of a paper Warehouse Stock Transfer Receipt Advice that complies with the ANSI X12 EDI specification. It is used by third party logistics providers or warehouses to tell a depositor or an agent of the depositor that the transferred shipment has been received. This transaction set also provides detailed information concerning product that has been received. Smaller volume depositor will not typically use the 944 transaction. The depositor or the depositor's agent will respond to the warehouse Stock Transfer Receipt Advice with a 997 Functional Acknowledgment to confirm that the EDI transaction has been received.
