EDI 204 Motor Carrier Load Tender

The EDI 858 transaction set is an electronic version of a paper Shipment Information that complies with the ANSI X12 EDI specification. The 852 EDI transaction set is used by the sender to transmit detailed bill-of-lading, rating and scheduling information for a given shipment. Often used by government agencies, 858 Shipment Information also includes the ability to transmit Government or Commercial Bills of Lading (GBLs or CBLs) or transportation control movement documents.

EDI 858 also transmits the information regarding household goods, shipment’s freight or passengers which can be highly useful for the United States Civilian Government, the United States Department of defence or any of the trading partners. EDI 997 Functional Acknowledgment is sent back from the trading partner in response to an EDI 858 - Shipment Information that the EDI 858 transaction set is successfully received.
