EDI 212

The EDI 212 transaction set is an electronic version of a paper Motor Carrier Delivery Trailer Manifest that complies with the ANSI X12 EDI specifications.

EDI 212 Motor Carrier Delivery Trailer Manifest can be used for the following purposes:.

• To allow motor carriers to provide consignees or other interested parties with the contents of certain trailer containing multiple shipments that has been tendered for delivery.
• To allow other interested entities regarding the information related to contents of the trailer.

This document is not to be used to provide relative data of a full truckload shipment to the recipient.
