EDIFACT IFTSTA

EDIFACT IFTSTA provides the definition of the International multimodal status report message (IFTSTA) message to be used in EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) between business partners involved in automotive, grocery and retail drug industry sectors. EDIFACT IFTSTA is used to report the status of transport or a change in the status of transport between business partners. It enables transfer of information for the status of the physical movement of consignments, goods or equipment at any point within the full transport chain.

EDIFACT IFTSTA message may be sent:

• on a request/s for consignment/s or equipment status/es
• on a scheduled basis at predetermined times
• on the occurrence of a selected or exceptional as agreed by the partners involved
